George W Vest
From The Cullman Tribune, 11 May 1901
Submitted by Robin Sterling
Wheat G.W. Vest was born Sept. 19th, 1829, and departed his life April 13th, 1901. He leaves a wife and several children, to mourn his loss. He has been an acceptable member of the Methodist Episcopal Church South for a number of years. His home is desolate but his many friends feel assured that he has a home above. His seat is vacant in the church militant but we trust it is filled among the triumphant, earth is lost to him but heaven is gained. One by one the links of the chain that bind our hearts together are broken. G.P. Perry.
