Notes: Stephen Abijah Scott was born April 4, 1828 in Marion Co., AL to Peter Martin Scott and Jane Williams. He married about 1851 to Margaret Ann Davis, daughter of Magness Davis and Beda Joiner. Margaret was born October 30, 1828 in Lauderdale Co., AL and died May 20, 1908 in Jones Co., TX. Their children were: William Joseph, January 25, 1852; Beda Jane, March 24, 1854; Peter Magness, February 15, 1856; John Belford, April 24, 1858; Sarah Izella, February 29, 1860; Laura Fidella, 1862; Stephen Abijah, Jr., 1864; Edith Elizabeth, May 2, 1866; Martha Adline Lou, January 15, 1869; and Ulysses S. "Liss" Scott, June 14, 1873. Stephen died February 1, 1910 in Jones Co., TX after the load shifted on his hay wagon and he was run over. He is buried in Mount Hope Cemetery, Anson, Jones Co., TX.Buried: Mount Hope Cemetery, Anson, Jones Co, TX
