Notes:
Notation in file dated 30 August 1887 states, "This man was cut off from his command by the rebel forces 30 April 1863, went home and remained in the mountains until 21 December 1863, when he rejoined his command."
William P. Ramey married Sarah Narcissa who was a sister of Doctor T Boyd and Tillman Boydwho were also in this regiment. Dates on his headstone state he was born November 1827 and died April 1872. He is buried in Kimbler Cemetery, just south of Cove City, Crawford Co., AR. Sarah's daughter by her first husband was married to John L Ramey, brother of William P. Ramey.
